As a new year begins, we look forward to brighter days - reaffirming our wishes for happiness. Some of us make resolutions, some create new expectations for themselves, and some of us try to create our own happiness. This month I have included some spells and techniques for HAPPINESS: to change our image of ourselves, and to visualize new love coming into our lives. I'm praying for each and every one of you to have a happy and wondrous New Year, bringing you everything you want & need!

SPELL TO BRING HAPPINESS INTO OUR LIVES
* You will need: 3 orange candles, 3 stones (1 Citrine - to energize, and bring joy into your life; 1 Peridot - to bring light, and brightness into your life; 1 Ruby - the stone of happiness, and love;), Marjoram (a cooking herb), and Lavender.
* This spell can be done any time, but a Full Moon will make it more potent. (2007 Full Moons: January 3, February 2, March 3, April 2.) Place the candles on your altar (if you don't have an altar use a cleared flat surface safe for lighting candles that will not be disturbed.). Light the candles, and place the stones in front of them. Focus on the elements of your life that bring you stress, and visualize them fading away, leaving you with only peace and happiness in your heart. Sprinkle the herbs around the candles and stones. As you do repeat these words three times: "HAPPINESS AND JOY COME INTO MY LIFE, AWAY WITH THE STRESS, ANGER AND STRIFE! I AM HAPPY, I AM FREE, NO MORE NEGATIVITY!!". Then say (out loud) all of the things that make you happy no matter how small or silly. Let the candles burn out on their own, and leave the herbs, and stones on your altar for a week.

A SPELL FOR THOSE WHO FEEL SHY AND WITHDRAWN
A simple ritual to increase confidence.
* Wear something with a peacock feather in a visible manner everyday. For example: jewelry, clothing, tuck a feather in your hair etc. Make it a point to look in the mirror a few times a day and repeat these words three times: "I'M SPREADING MY TAIL FEATHERS, MY WINGS TO FLY, SO MOTE IT BE". As you do this, visualize yourself having increased confidence, courage, and beauty. After a short while this spell should have you feeling as proud, and confident as a peacock! Beware! If you begin to feel too bold, stop wearing the magical feather.

THE DREAM CATCHER SPELL
This is a spell used for visualizing your soulmate. It is said that once you use this spell, your soulmate or "true love" will come to you in a dream - and will appear soon after in waking life.
* You will need: a recording of your favorite love song, floral incense (rose, jasmine, lavender, carnation, etc.), a small bell, a feather, and a piece of red material.
* Do this spell on the first Thursday of the month. Gather your ingredients and find a lightly airy space to work. Place the objects on a table. Begin by playing the love song, as you light the incense, and clear your mind. When the song is finished, ring the bell 3 times. Pick up the feather and wave it over the incense smoke while you chant three times: "KEEPER OF MY DREAMS, BRING ME ON THE WIND, MY LOVE TO EMBRACE ME. KEEPER OF THE NIGHT, LET ME SEE MY HEART'S DELIGHT!". Wrap the feather in the red material, and place it under your pillow. In a few nights your soulmate will appear to you in a dream!

Finally Spring is here, the flowers are almost blooming, and we are reborn from our long winter naps!! While you were sleeping, I have been researching new and different magical things to send your way.

A SPELL TO PROTECT YOUR COMPUTER
Quartz crystals are filled with energy and and raise positive vibrations, making them ideal to have on your desk and near your computer. Fluorite is effective against computer and electromagnetic stress. It also brings order to chaos, and organizes and processes information to enusre that your computer remains efficient. Not only are these stones pretty to look at, but they will serve as protection and will charge and boost your computer.
* You will need: a piece of fluorite, and a quartz crystal that you feel connected with.
* First you will need to cleanse your crystal with one of these methods: Leave it out in a rainstorm; cleanse with sea salt and water; or let it sit in the sun & moon overnite. After your crystal is cleansed, it is time to magically charge it to boost, and protect your computer. Holding the crystal, repeat this incantation 3 times at your computer site: "SHINING STONE, BRIGHT AND CLEAR, SUPPORT MACHINERY THAT LIES NEAR. PROTECT AND HEAL EACH CIRCUIT TOO, AND KEEP THEM RUNNING SMOOTH AND TRUE!" Place the crystal next to the computer, and let it do it's magic.

A SPELL TO BANISH LONELINESS
Banishing spells should be done when the moon is waning.
* You will need: 1 red candle, and 1 black candle.
* Do this Create a sacred space in which to do your spell. Light the candles and meditate on banishing loneliness from your life. Now pickup the red candle in your left hand, and the black candle in your right. Draw the red candle to you, and the black candle away from you as you repeat: "LONELINESS LEAVES ME, LONELINESS IS REPLACED BY LOVE, LOVE BANISHES MY LONELINESS, LOVE BRINGS ME JOY!!"

A SPELL TO BANISH THINGS FROM YOUR LIFE
This spell is an old witch's bottle spell.
* You will need: a small glass bottle or container with a cork or top, a candle in the appropriate color (white to purify, black to protect and rid of negativity), a piece of parchment to write your wish on, and a pen.
* Do this spell on the waning moon. Create a sacred space in which to do your spell. Light the candle in the center of the space. With the pen, write what or who you wish to banish from your life on the piece of parchment (your intentions included). As you visualize all of your negative feelings about the person or situation pouring from your fingertips into the bottle, drop the parchment into the bottle. Cap the bottle and seal it with the wax from the candle. Bid your banishments farewell, and send them away, by either burying the bottle in the ground, throwing it into a body of water, or even tossing it into the trash! You will feel refreshed in a few days!

As the summer speeds by, we need to take some time to smell the roses, the ocean, and the fresh air, while the season is here. Summer always reminds me that Life passes so quickly, like the Seasons, I need to see the things that Spirit is sending us. We all try to cram 12 months of living, into 8 weeks!! But, it's our way of unwinding and seeing the earth in a new way--So, I decided that we all need to be aware of various signs and omens that the Universe sends us, and in turn we also need to be aware of symbols and amulets to ward off negativity.

And so, I wish you all a magical summer,and may all your dreams come true. Watch for a rainbow, smell a beautiful flower, walk in the rain, and run barefoot in the Grass--HAPPY SUMMER!!

GOOD LUCK OMENS
All of the following are omens of good luck: if you find a button, dream of a dove, find a spider in the evening, if you see a rainbow, sneeze 3 times, or see 2 ravens together, if a dog follows you home, you see a spotted dog, or 3 white dogs together, if a spider lands on your clothing, if you find money or pins on the ground, or find a penny heads up- All Good Luck!

BAD LUCK OMENS
If you put your shirt on backwards, find a spider first thing in the morning, spill black pepper, find a penny tails up, if you break a mirror, spill the salt (throw some over your left shoulder ASAP to ward off the Devil), or hear an owl in the daytime!!

VISITOR OMENS
If a broom falls over,someone drops silverware, a bee enters your home, or if your eyebrow twitches - Company's coming!!

ANIMAL OMENS
Bees are the bearers of good will, A black cat crossing your path is bad luck, keeping a chameleon for a pet wards off evil, if a cat sneezes rain is coming, a descending dove represents the Holy Spirit, and if a white cat appears to you good luck!

This is an easy method of bringing peacefulness, and a general good feeling to your home.

* You will need: a handful of rose petals (or rose oil), a pinch of sea salt, a handful of lavender (or lavender oil), and a handful of mint.--

*Boil the mixture for 3 minutes to promote a feeling of calm throughout your home. Do this 1 or 2 times a month--it does work!

NEW MOON MAGIC

The new moon will be Aug. 12; for Luck and Prosperity, if things are going well in your life, bow to the New Moon and say: "O MOON, LEAVE US AS WELL AS YOU FOUND US!". Also bow to the new moon and turn over all your silver coins (heads up) to bring you luck in all your affairs.
