Soon, the winter solstice will begin, the time when the nights grow longer, we celebrate the Holidays, and the earth comes full cycle. Yule is the beginning of the New Year, where dark defeats light, and is a signal that snow & cold, will give way to the next season. Yule is a Scandinavia word meaning Wheel, and from this comes the wheel of the year. SO, We gather and store our energies, to prepare for winter, a time to rest & rejuvenate. Perhaps, this is the season to open up our awareness towards the Earth's needs!! To extend that awareness to others, because after all, Yule is the season of sharing & giving, with a full heart and from the spirit. For Me, winter is the time to rest, regenerate, and replenish my Spirit, and quite like a snake, I shed my skin come spring, transforming into my new evolved self!! That idea has always gotten me thru the winter,and I try to use this time in a positive way. This month, my spells concentrate on healing.

So, My magical frends, I hope my work has helped you this year, as we prepare to go into the next one- THIS SEASON, help a child, donate to a charity, "Green" your home, Save animals, volunteer to do something for others, and give to others--This is Human Kindness in it's purest form--WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND---AS YOU HELP OTHERS AND THE EARTH, SO YOU WILL BE HELPED--As always, sending you all my Love & Blessings for wonderful holidays and a happy healthy new year.

SPELL TO HEAL THE EARTH

* You will need: a small tree (the little pine trees work great), bush, or a local plant you can keep alive for spring (do not use herbs!).

* Bring the plant into your home, and carefully nurture it. Bless the soil, Bless the water you use on it, and allow it plenty of sun and full moonlight, when the moon is full. In the springtime, when it is strong enough, take it to a place where it is native and will not upset the ecosystem. As you plant it say "GENTLE GODDESS, MIGHTY EARTH, TAKE THIS OFFERING OF MINE. BLESSINGS, I SHOWER UPON YOUR EARTH IN THE FULLNESS OF TIME". The earth will love you for it, and we must somehow replace all the trees & bushes we have lost . Our Earth is our greatest treasure & we must treasure it NOW!!

SPELL TO HEAL A TROUBLED RELATIONSHIP

We all know that relationships have ups and downs, and Mystical help is sometimes needed. Be sure your intentions are good and true, and know that you are not casting a spell on your partner, you are summoning the mutual love you share.

* You will need: 2 white candles, 2 candle holders, 1 red cloth, 3 onyx stones (for change), 3 rose quartz stones (for forgiveness & open heart), and 1 red velvet pouch.

* Do this spell at dawn, right before the new moon, for new beginnings and to start a new cycle in your relationship. Face East, as the sun rises, visualize the sun's warmth filling your heart. Place the 2 white candles in the holders, side by side, on the red cloth, signifying you and your partner. Meditate on the happiness your relationship has brought to you and release all of your anger and preconceived notions. Release any bad feelings, and focus on what you want from, and what you can give to this relationship. We use 6 stones as 6 is the number for marriage, harmony, and balance. Pick up a stone, say 1 gift you have received from this relationship, and place around the candles. Next pick up another stone, say 1 positive quality or energy you wish to bring to this relationship. Continue on with the stones one by one, and see a different gift this union has brought you, until all of the stones have been placed around the candles (making a circle). Burn the candles completely. When the candles are out take the stones away from the burned out candles and place them in the pouch. Sleep with it under your pillow until the next new moon.

A SPELL FOR HEALING ILLNESS

This spell is for a speedy recovery from an illness.

* You will need: 1 white mini taper candle, a needle or pin, a small bottle of myrrh oil, and a photograph of the person who is ill, and a white cloth.

* With the pin write the sick person's name on the white candle, and anoint the candle with Myrrh oil. As you do this visualize healing energy in the form of white light flowing from your hands into the candle. Place a photo of the ill person under the candle. As you visualize the person healing say these words: "IN THE DIVINE NAME OF THE GODDESS, WHO BREATHES LIFE INTO US ALL I CONSECRATE AND CHARGE THIS CANDLE AS A MAGICK TOOL FOR HEALING". Light the wick, and focus on the person in the picture, willing them to be well again! Recite 3 times--"MAGIC MEND AND CANDLE BURN, SICKNESS END AND GOOD HEALTH RETURN." Recite this several times until the candle burns out. Wrap candle in a white cloth and bury it outside. The person should show signs of some recovery within a month!!
