Many of our customers come to us seeking something to comfort them in their times of need. Sometimes it will be to find a crystal or piece of jewelry that will help them along their current path in life, sometimes it is to find a candle to burn to make a loved one well, and very frequently it is to find a gift that will make themselves or someone else happy. There are other occasions however, when they come to us for very specific things: referrals to a healer, spritual advisor, or teacher. Therefore we feel that it is appropriate to shine a special light on the healers, advisors, and teachers that have touched our lives and those of our customers.

Spotlight on Dr. Yang and Dr. Liu - It has been our pleasure recently to discover these kind, compassionate, and honest healers. Many of our customers are women, or couples trying to start families of their own but for one reason or another are unable. It is refreshing to find not only acupuncturists who specialize in this type of situation, but to also find a woman acupuncturist in a sea of men seems to be a gem on its own.

From Their web site: Dr. Yang, Xiu Juan (Sue) and Dr. Liu, Hong Wei are licensed master practitioners of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine and are PhDs, and MDs from China. Both trained 11 years in a full-time MD and PhD Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine program. They are currently teaching professors and chief physicians in the field of gynecology and internal medicine. They maintain a private clinical practice in New York City and Jericho, Long Island as well as training prospective acupuncturists in the USA. They bring to you a combination of 42 years of clinical experience in the USA, Norway, Sweden, South Korea, Brazil, Greece and China hospitals. They have published 25 books and 175 research articles in the past 23 years in Acupuncture, Herbal and Integrated Medicine.

Difficulties no longer burden me. I easily solve all problems. *This week's affirmation was picked at random from the book The Present Moment by Louise L. Hay the best-selling author of You Can Heal Your Life.

Suggested crystal to be used with this affirmation: Sunstone and Snowflake Obsidian.

Use this affirmation daily or several times a day. You can recite it in a mirror, write it a few times on paper, or use another method that is practical for you. Using a crystal with your affirmation often makes it more powerful and successful. The crystal will give you a physical reminder of the goal you are trying to achieve.

Affirmation (af-fir-ma-tion) a positive statement of being, affirming, or asserting something in order to help manifest it in the physical world. *Definition from The New Age Dictionary.

Lately, one of my favorite items in the store have been the beautiful Touchstones pendants. They are smooth gray stones (graywacke) with deeply carved Maori designs on them. Maori people are the indigenous people of New Zealand, they believe that there is a soul in all things both animate, and inanimate. Touchstones carry the soul of New Zealand, when you wear them you can feel the soft swirling energy of the ocean, the calming of the sand, and the energy of the sun, making them a really calming yet energizing addition to any jewelry collection. I have found also that you can use them as you would a worry stone. In times of stress, it is comforting to touch the stones, as they help to take away some of the stresses bringing you the grounding energy of the beaches where they are found. They make wonderful gifts for yourself or a friend, and can be worn by both men and women! Touchstones Pendants come hung on black cord, and each one comes in a fun triangular gift box with a card describing the meanings of the Maori symbols used. *This month's staff favorite has been selected by Fran 4-2-08.
